Message from COO Todd Barnum on Gary Goyette’s Retirement

Today is a great day and a sad day. We are celebrating the retirement of Gary Goyette after 40 years with Linton in all its incarnations.

Gary has worked tirelessly for our customers across the globe, in more countries than I can count. He's been the man on site, installing and troubleshooting, and the man behind the curtain for all our service and spares. He has generously shared his wealth of knowledge and understanding of each individual machine at each customer site with our team. The processes he’s developed and the relationships he’s built will prove invaluable in this transition.

For any of you who have come in contact with Gary, you know you would always get a thorough, well-thought-out solution tree to your problem, along with the option he would suggest.

For our staff, he would do the same thing. You would always get an open, honest and detailed solution to anything you were trying to solve.

For me, personally, this is much harder. Gary is the reason why I was hired at Linton (in our Kayex incarnation) back in 2008. He was the acting Field Service Manager who didn't want that administrative role. He wanted to stay in front of the customer and help all our younger technicians learn the ups and downs of CZ crystal pullers. Gary chose me from a large pool of applicants. And, over the years, in all my job titles with Field Service, Sales, Engineering and now as President, he's been a mentor and a trusted advisor. He's an amazing man with outstanding ethics and can be relied upon to do the right thing.

Gary, you will be missed. Congratulations!

Todd Barnum
