Linton Crystal Technologies’ 300 mm Furnace Operating and Ready for Customer Visits at R&D Center

Dalian, China — Linton Crystal Technologies’ KX320/300MCZR has been installed and is in operation in the company’s Research and Development Center. The KX320/300MCZR is a Czochralski (CZ) process crystal grower designed to meet growing market demands for a furnace capable of producing 300 mm crystals. Customers and prospective customers can schedule time to see the grower in operation at the R&D Center at Dalian Linton NC Machine Co. Ltd., in Dalian, China, and speak with Linton’s sales and process experts.

“This new generation of 300 mm furnace is state-of-the-art. It combines all of our newest hardware and software innovations in one system, including the latest melt-gap measurement and control,” explains John R. Syring, senior sales and process engineer with Linton. “We’re looking forward to having people see the 320/300 in action in the R&D Center, where we can discuss their specific needs and applications.”

Linton was the first company to introduce a 300 mm furnace in 1997. This new generation, the KX320/300MCZR complete grower system, is optimized for producing 300 mm crystals with a 1300 mm furnace size. It can accommodate 32-inch crucibles and its 3400 mm-high receiving chamber can grow a 2300 mm body length ingot. Linton supplies the 320/300MCZR with a 4,000-gauss superconducting magnet, but the grower can work with any available magnet. It also features a motorized shield lift, low power consumption and integrated communications with the optional proprietary WINGS systems. Additionally, Linton staff work with clients at the time of sale to customize each furnace as necessary to meet their organization or industry requirements.

Linton is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of equipment for producing monocrystalline ingots for the semiconductor and solar industries. The company specializes in silicon and produces equipment for materials such as germanium and gallium arsenide. They also provide technical support, process engineering support and replacement parts to help clients get businesses off the ground, improve productivity and continue to innovate.
